Subsidy for arranging working conditions

The TE Office can enhance the employment of a person with partial work ability by granting a subsidy for arranging working conditions.

As an employer, you may be eligible for a subsidy for arranging working conditions if the disability or illness of the person to be hired or a person already in employment requires

  • new tools or furniture
  • alteration work at the workplace
  • assistance from another employee to carry out work tasks.

Subsidy for the acquisition of tools and workplace alterations

A subsidy of a maximum of EUR 4,000 per person can be granted for the acquisition of tools or workplace alterations. The subsidy must be applied for within one month of acquiring the tools or carrying out the alteration work. If necessary, the subsidy can also be granted in advance.

Compensation for assistance provided by another employee

Due to a disability or illness, the person to be hired may also need assistance in carrying out the work tasks. A job coach can help assess the need for assistance if necessary.

Compensation can be granted for assistance provided by another employee for a maximum of 20 working hours per month and for a maximum period of 18 months. The subsidy is EUR 20 per hour and is paid monthly and retrospectively on the basis of the actual hours worked.
