The President of the Republic approved the amendments to the Mining Act on 23 March 2023. The amendments will give local residents more influence and increase business prospects and environmental considerations.

A new application round on business cost support and closure compensation

A new application round will be organised for business cost support and closure compensation. Companies will apply for support at the State Treasury. The Government proposes that the amendments be ratified in the presidential session on 11 March 2022. The legislative amendments will enter into force on 15 March 2022.

Applications invited for a special grant for guidance and counselling services for immigrants

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will be accepting applications for EUR 4 million for guidance and counselling services for immigrants. The objective of this grant is to enhance the integration and employment of immigrants by developing guidance and counselling services and the related multi-sectoral cooperation. The application period will be open from 18 May to 18 June 2020.
