The legislative amendments required for the introduction of centralised information exchange services for the retail electricity market, the Datahub, will enter into force on 27 October 2021. These include the Act on amending the Electricity Market Act and the Act on temporary measures related to the introduction of centralised information exchange services in retail electricity market. The President of the Republic is scheduled to approve the legislative amendments on Friday 22 October 2021.

From the beginning of 2020, the Natural Gas Market Act will open up the natural gas and renewable gases retail market to competition. At the same time, the retail gas market is taking steps to introduce a centralised information exchange system, a data hub, for natural gas trading. Retailers and distribution network operators will be expected to carry out their retail market processes through the new hub.
