According to the Working Life Barometer, nearly three quarters of employees considered their possibilities to reconcile work and other life good in 2023. On the other hand, there is plenty of room for improvement in competence development at workplaces.

The Government has submitted a proposal to Parliament on a pay subsidy reform with the aim of promoting the employment of people in a vulnerable labour market position and increasing the use of pay subsidies, especially by businesses.

A new digital service platform for jobseekers and employers, Job Market Finland, has been launched. The Job Market enables jobseekers to create and publish a job search profile, which helps both jobseekers and employers to find each other better than before. The new information system services of the TE Administration will be entirely functional by the end of 2023.

The reform aims to provide jobseekers and employers with digital services that will meet their needs better and that will ease the use of services. The overall reform includes a new service platform to promote the matching of jobs with workers and to improve job search and employment services.
