265,300 unemployed jobseekers in September

At the end of September there were a total of 265,300 unemployed jobseekers. This is 50,500 less than a year earlier.
The number of unemployed jobseekers decreased by 50,500. The number of new vacancies reported in September totalled 96,500. In all, the number of unfilled vacancies amounted to 170,300, which is 67,300 more than a year ago.

Government proposes amendments to the Act on Peak-Load Reserve

On 21 October 2021, the Government submitted a proposal to Parliament for an act amending the Act on Peak Load Reserve, which Secures a Balance between Electricity Production and Consumption. The content of the Act would be brought into line with the requirements of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the internal market for electricity in respect of resource adequacy assessment and introduction of capacity mechanisms.
