EU energy ministers to decide on proposals to tighten energy efficiency and renewable energy targets

The EU energy ministers will meet at a Council meeting in Luxembourg on 27 June 2022. They aim to reach a general approach on the tightening of the Energy Efficiency Directive and the Renewable Energy Directive as part of the Fit for 55 package. Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä will represent Finland at the meeting.

New data model helps discover causes of labour market mismatch

The labour market roadmap project aims to improve the match between jobs and workers. The data model built in the project uses data in more diverse ways than before. In this way, the special characteristics of different sectors can be considered in more detail in order to create a more accurate picture of the types of open vacancies, labour reserves and occupational differences.

EU competitiveness ministers to discuss the Chips Act and resilience of industry and space programme

The EU ministers responsible for competitiveness will meet in Luxembourg on 9–10 June 2022. On the first day, the ministers will discuss topics related to the single market and industrial policy, followed by research, innovation and space on the second day.
