14.8.2025 | Arbets- och näringsministeriet publicerade den 14 augusti 2025 en promemoria om företagsstödens utveckling åren 2012–2024. I fjol beviljades 3,8 miljarder euro i stöd, vilket motsvarar 1,4 procent av BNP. Stödbeloppet har minskat sedan 2020, då stöd beviljades till ett belopp av sammanlagt 4,7 miljarder euro utan coronastöd. 13.6.2024 | Seven solar park projects in Finland have been granted a total of EUR 27.5 million through the EU’s Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM). Under the mechanism, solar power will be built in Finland with funding from Luxembourg. 28.5.2025 | On 28 May 2025, the Government made decisions to complete the enhancements to the state’s private equity investment activities, as agreed in the Government Programme. 28.5.2025 | Regeringen fattade den 28 maj 2025 beslut om att slutföra den effektivisering av statens inhemska kapitalinvesteringsverksamhet som överenskommits i regeringsprogrammet. 4.7.2025 | The European Commission plans to support the establishment of AI gigafactories across EU Member States. From Finland, technology leader Nokia, along with a business consortium it has assembled, has stepped forward with an expression of interest to bring an AI gigafactory to the country and has taken part in the Commission’s call. 5.6.2025 | The current legislation on regional development and the EU’s structural policy supports the objectives, but implementation should be more cost-effective in future. The Government submitted a report on the subject to Parliament on 5 June 2025. The report evaluated how well and effectively the system and funding of regional development functions. 8.5.2025 | Regeringen överlämnade den 8 maj 2025 till riksdagen en proposition om lagstiftning som kompletterar EU:s förordning om artificiell intelligens. I propositionen föreslås det att det stiftas en lag om tillsyn över systemen för artificiell intelligens och att de lagar som gäller bland annat marknadskontrollen av produkter och verkställigheten av böter ändras. 4.7.2025 | Europeiska kommissionen har för avsikt att stödja inrättandet av AI-gigafabriker i EU-länderna. I Finland har teknologiledare Nokia och det företagskonsortium som bolaget har samordnats uttryckt sitt intresse för att få en AI-gigafabrik till Finland och deltagit i den ansökningsprocess som kommissionen har ordnat. 7.11.2025 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will hold a public consultation from 7 to 23 November 2025 on a draft government decree setting out provisions on a government grant, which the employment authorities could use to help companies hire unemployed young people under the age of 30. This grant is also known as the employment voucher or recruitment subsidy.
