Selonteko: Aluekehittämisen lainsäädäntö toimii, mutta lakiuudistuksessa on tarpeen lisätä vaikuttavuutta - Työ- ja elinkeinoministeriö

5.6.2025 | Aluekehittämisen ja EU:n rakennepolitiikan nykyinen lainsäädäntö tukee tavoitteitaan, mutta toimeenpanon tulee jatkossa olla kustannustehokkaampaa. Hallitus antoi aiheesta selonteon eduskunnalle 5. kesäkuuta 2025. Selonteossa arvioitiin alueiden kehittämisen järjestelmän ja rahoituksen toimivuutta ja vaikuttavuutta vuonna 2026 alkavan lainsäädäntöuudistuksen pohjaksi.

Remissbehandlingen av ändringarna i samarbetslagen inleds - Arbets- och näringsministeriet

28.6.2024 | Arbets- och näringsministeriet ordnar den 28 juni–23 augusti 2024 ett remissförfarande om de ändringar i samarbetslagen som gäller höjning av tröskeln för lagens tillämpning och förkortning av tiden för omställningsförhandlingarna. Förslagen har beretts i en trepartsarbetsgrupp som inte var enig i sitt arbete.

22.3.2024 | State Secretary Mika Nykänen has reported the results of his review of the conditions for starting labour market model negotiations to both Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Minister of Employment Arto Satonen. According to the report, the organisations consider the preparation of a common agreement-based labour market model to be necessary. Some of the organisations, however, have preconditions for starting negotiations.

Consultation round on amending the Co-operation Act begins - Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment

28.6.2024 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will organise a consultation round on the amendments to the Act on Co-operation within Undertakings (hereinafter, the Co-operation Act) on 28 June−23 August 2024. The amendments concern raising the threshold for applying the Act and shortening the duration of change negotiations. The amendments were prepared in a tripartite working group that was not unanimous in its work.

Tripartite working groups to draft legislative proposals on removing barriers to employing workers - Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment

9.9.2024 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed two new tripartite working groups to draw up the Government's labour market reforms. One of the working groups will focus on those grounds for terminating employment that are related to the employee's person. The other will handle the grounds for fixed-term employment contracts, the period of notice for layoffs, and the reemployment obligation.
