Finland and China signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on energy cooperation in Beijing on 27 January 2026. The areas of cooperation focus in particular on clean energy, smart energy systems and energy innovation.
In the future, Finnvera’s financing solutions will be available for some of the largest investments and ownership arrangements in agriculture. This is enabled by the eligibility of agricultural limited liability companies for financing starting 1 May 2026.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment appointed a working group to prepare a programme to prevent segregation. The working group will identify measures to reduce segregation. The programme is due to be completed by the end of 2026.
