The Orpo Government’s labour market reforms

The Government will develop the Finnish labour market to make it more flexible. The aim is to support employment, economic growth, competitiveness and productivity. The reforms will be prepared on a tripartite basis, drawing on the expertise of businesses and employee organisations.

Improving industrial peace: The reform entered into force on 18.5.2024. Increase local collective bargaining: Proposal to Parliament in August 2024. Development of the conciliation system (the labour market model): Proposal to Parliament in September 2024. Dismatling barriers to employment: Proposals by the 2025 government spending limits discussion.
