Processing of personal data
You can subscribe to our newsletters, press releases and other topical materials, as well as certain publications such as the Finnish Labour Review. When you subscribe to a newsletter, press release or publication, we store your contact information to send the document in question to you. We collect and use the personal data you provide only for sending the newsletters, press releases or publications to which you subscribe.
What data do we collect on you when you subscribe to newsletters and publications?
We only collect your email address and potentially your name. If you subscribe to publications to be sent to your home address or, for example, to your workplace, we will also store the name, address and possible telephone number of your organisation.
We store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the submission of the materials you requested, until you cancel your subscription, and/or request that your data be erased or the services cease to exist.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, either when receiving the newsletters or electronic publications or via our websites. When you request that your data be erased, your personal data will be deleted without delay.
What is our data processing based on?
We process your personal data based on our task concerning the public interest and/or based on your consent.
The tasks of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment are laid down in the following, among others:

- Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment Decree on the Rules of Procedure of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment
- Act on the Openness of Government Activities
Disclosure and transfer of your personal data
At times we outsource the distribution of the materials to external service providers for quality improvement. A service provider may also operate outside the EU territory if the requirements of the Data Protection Regulation are met.
We enter an agreement in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation with the service providers or otherwise comply with the requirements set in the General Data Protection Regulation.
We may disclose personal data, upon request, in accordance with the Act on the Openness of Government Activities.
We do not disclose your data for direct marketing or market and opinion polls.
