Project developers invited to discuss the EU Innovation Fund’s RePowerEU call for applications with the Commission and CINEA on 3 February
Finnish project developers will have an opportunity to receive advice and guidance about the call for applications on large energy technology and investment projects organised by the EU Innovation Fund, which funds clean technology investments. Registrations for the orientation discussions are already accepted.
The one-to-one orientation discussions will be held between the project developer and a representative of the European Commission or the CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) on Friday 3 February 2023 at 10.00-13.00 Finnish time. Each discussion lasts up to 25 minutes.

The discussions are available for as many project developers as possible. The discussions will be held using an online platform.
Webinar recording from 23 January provides more information on the Innovation Fund’s RePowerEU call
On 23 January 2023, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Business Finland, Finnish Chemical Industry, Finnish Forest Industries, Finnish Energy, and Technology Industries of Finland organised a webinar to help Finnish companies make use of the opportunities offered by EU funding.

The first part of the event focused on the Horizon Europe programme, while the latter half highlighted the Innovation Fund, which invests in clean technology. Total funding of EUR 3 billion is currently available from the fund for energy investments and projects concerning the production and piloting of energy technologies.

Innovation Fund applications to be submitted by 16 March 2023
The EU Innovation Fund’s third application round for large projects began on 3 November 2022. A total of EUR 3 billion is available for investments in decarbonisation, electrification of industry, hydrogen, and manufacturing and piloting of energy technologies. The deadline for applications is 16 March 2023. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment published a press release on the matter on 3 November, as did the European Commission.
