State Secretary Partanen to lead a Team Finland visit to Germany
State Secretary Jari Partanen will lead a Team Finland visit to Germany on 9–10 December. The purpose of the visit is to intensify cooperation between Finnish and German companies particularly in the maritime industry, to promote Finnish exports to Germany, and to encourage German investment in Finland.
The purpose of the visit is to highlight Finnish know-how and promote the business and innovation projects of Finnish companies, particularly those involving smart solutions in the maritime industry.
Finland boasts a globally competitive maritime industry ecosystem which is particularly well-known for its smart, ecological solutions. The visit provides an excellent opportunity for Finnish and German companies to intensify their cooperation.
The visit will begin in Hamburg on 9 December and continues with a visit to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg on 10 December. State Secretary will be accompanied by a business delegation with representatives from 14 companies and organisations with special competence in the maritime industry, research and digitalisation. Under-Secretary of the State Petri Peltonen will also take part in the visit.
