Stakeholder engagement

Processing of personal data

Succeeding in our task requires more extensive stakeholder engagement, partner networks and counselling services, in which we can collect and process, for example, the contact information and personal data of actors and suppliers in the public administration and private sector, as well as influencers in various fields (actors in the cultural sector, researchers, representatives of non-governmental organisations, buyers, bloggers etc.). In the context of various advisory boards, EU committees and working groups, we may process the data of members or participants.

As a rule, we receive the required data from the persons themselves (from their business cards, for example), but we may also collect data through public channels and from our cooperation partners.

What data do we collect on you for stakeholder cooperation purposes?

In connection with our stakeholder engagement activities, we may store your personal data relevant from the point of view of the activities and cooperation. These may include your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, the organisation you represent, as well as your job title.

The personal data stored in connection with the stakeholder engagement activities are retained for as long as required for attending to our tasks. The retention periods are based on the government's information management plan.

What is our data processing based on?

We process your personal data to comply with our statutory obligation or to perform a task concerning the public interest. The processing of your personal data may also be based on the consent of the data subject.

Disclosure and transfer of personal data

At times, we outsource the distribution of the press releases and event invitations related to stakeholder engagement to external service providers for quality improvement. Provided that the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation are met, a service provider may also operate outside the EU.

We enter into an agreement in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation with the service providers or otherwise comply with the requirements set in the General Data Protection Regulation.

We may disclose personal data, upon request, in accordance with the Act on the Openness of Government Activities.

We do not disclose your data for direct marketing or market and opinion polls.
