Finland has joined the Pax Silica initiative that aims to secure supply chains for semiconductors, critical minerals and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The declaration was signed on behalf of Finland by Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto in Washington on 16 April 2026.
The Government appointed a new Board of Directors for the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) on 16 April 2026. Its term of office will last three years.
