To curb the rapid rise in prices, the Government decided earlier this year to lower the renewable fuel distribution obligation in 2022. 12.2.2024 | On 12 February 2024, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment published a report on the changes to the distribution obligation of transport fuels. AFRY Management Consulting Oy produced the report on behalf of the Ministry. 28.1.2021 | On 28 January 2021, the Government submitted a proposal to Parliament to curb the rise in electricity distribution prices and cut the profits of distribution companies by amending the Electricity Market Act and the Act on the Supervision of the Electricity and Natural Gas Market. Genom lagen genomförs EU:s reviderade utsläppshandelsdirektiv till den del som gäller handeln med utsläppsrätter för sektorn för separat uppvärmning av byggnader, vägtransportsektorn samt vissa ytterligare sektorer. 30.9.2026 | The EU Methane Regulation requires energy sector operators to measure, report and reduce their methane emissions. According to the Regulation, EU Member States must appoint an authority to oversee compliance with the obligations and lay down rules on penalties following non-compliance.
