20.5.2022 | On 20 May 2022, Gazprom Export informed the energy company Gasum Oy that natural gas deliveries to Finland under Gasum’s supply contract will be cut on 21 May 2022 at 7.00 am. 20.5.2022 | Gasgrid Finland Oy and US-based Excelerate Energy, Inc. signed a ten-year lease agreement for the LNG terminal ship Exemplar on 20 May 2022. 5.5.2023 | The International Energy Agency (IEA) published the results of its review on Finland’s energy policy on 5 May 2023. According to the review Finland’s nuclear and renewable power strengths provide a solid foundation for reaching its ambitious climate targets. 8.10.2023 | A pressure drop was detected in the Balticconnector gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia in the small hours of 8 October 2023, raising suspicions of a leak and causing a disruption. The valves in the offshore pipeline are now closed and the leak has been stopped. 13.9.2023 | On 13 September 2023, the Government approved changes to the Interreg Aurora and Interreg Central Baltic programmes implemented at the EU’s internal borders.
