EU’s CINEA to organise an info day on the call for tenders for solar power on 23 September
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) will organise a virtual information event for Finland and Estonia on the ongoing call for tenders on solar power plants located in Finland and on onshore wind power plant projects located in Estonia.
The total amount of funding available is EUR 52.4 million. This call for tenders under the EU's Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM) is open until 4 March 2025. Finland will participate in the mechanism by offering a tender for funding for up to 400 megawatts (MWp) of solar power.
The information event will be held online on Monday 23 September 2024 at 10-14. In the event, CINEA will provide information on the background, terms and conditions and details of the tender. At the event, those involved in the projects will have the opportunity to ask questions about the tendering process. The presentations and recording of the event will be published a few days after the event.
Please register for the event by 19 September at 18.00 at this CINEA´s link.
Finland received EUR 27.5 million from the RENEWFM call for tenders in 2023
Finland took part in the RENEWFM already last year. The agreement on participation signed by Finland and Luxembourg in 2023 was the first of its kind in the EU. As a result, CINEA announced in early summer that seven solar park projects in Finland had been granted a total of EUR 27.5 million of Luxembourg-funded aid following the tendering process.
