European Tourism Forum
The 18th European Tourism Forum was organised on the 9th and 10th of October 2019 in Helsinki by the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union together with the European Commission.
The European Tourism Forum is an annual event, co-organised with the European Commission and the country that holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of the year.
Participants include public authorities at EU, national and regional level, European associations, international organisations, industry representatives and other stakeholders.

European Tourism Forum 2019 - Digital transformation as the engine of sustainable growth for the EU tourism sector
This year, the European Tourism Forum was dedicated to the theme of digital transformation in tourism. In this regard, we discussed how digital transformation engines new sustainable growth for EU tourism sector, and how can tourism stakeholders respond to digital transformation in their strategic planning in order to achieve sustainable tourism development. The discussion focused on three topics of importance: impact of digital transformation for tourism businesses, data management and innovation agility.
