How can the regulatory burden be reduced?
The administrative burden accounts for a large proportion of the regulatory cost of business operations. It arises as a result of providing the authorities and third parties (such as consumers and employees) with statutory information.
The statutory obligation to provide information includes:
- notification and reporting obligations
- permit procedures and application for subsidies
- price and package labelling
Obligations will be simplified and the number of regulations reduced
The regulatory burden can be reduced by simplifying existing legislative obligations and by eliminating unnecessary and outdated statutes. It is also important to avoid a situation where unnecessarily heavy administrative obligations are imposed on enterprises as part of new laws.
The best way to do this is to estimate the impacts of the planned legislation on enterprises in advance. The regulatory burden can be reduced by taking legislative measures and by improving and developing official processes and electronic services.
