Finnvera export financing

Finnvera provides guarantees for the political or economic risks related to export financing. Political risks are those that are caused by the economic or political situation of the operating country of the exporting company’s customer. Economic risks relate either to the buyer or the financing bank.

Finnvera plc is a specialised financing company owned by the State of Finland and it serves as Finland's Export Credit Agency (ECA).

Finnish Export Credit´s (FEC) export financing services are part of Finnvera's activities. The services consist of export credits guarantees, financing of export credits and interest equalisation.

Export Credit Ltd makes companies and credit institutions interest equalisation and export credit offers for export and shipbuilding credits that meet OECD conditions. FEC concludes interest equalisation agreements with Finnish and foreign credit and financial institutions and provides funding for export credits.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is responsible for the company’s economic and corporate governance policies.
