Entrepreneurship policy

Entrepreneurship policy aims to create a favourable and encouraging environment for entrepreneurship, promote the establishment and growth of companies, create jobs, promote innovation and economic growth, and improve the competitiveness of companies. Another objective is to promote a positive and encouraging atmosphere and attitude towards entrepreneurship, initiative and activity in society.

Entrepreneurship policy has been promoted by drawing up, for example, an entrepreneurship strategy and a government resolution on entrepreneurship. In addition, the Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship acts as an advisory body on strategic issues related to entrepreneurship.

With regard to growth entrepreneurship, the aim is to increase the number of medium-sized enterprises in particular, e.g. Growth Entrepreneurship Programme. The implementation of the programme has begun.

The programme was given background in the Growth of Medium-sized Enterprises report.
