On 23 November 2023, the Government authorised the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment to capitalise Drug Development Centre Oy by EUR 20 million. The company’s task is to evaluate early-stage drug development projects and turn them into commercially viable products and companies worthy of capital investment.

Finland clearly exceeded its binding energy saving obligation set on the basis of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in 2014–2020. At the end of 2020, the total energy savings achieved exceeded the national obligation by more than 85 per cent. All other energy saving targets set for Finland were also achieved.

Työkanava employs people with impaired capacity to work and other unemployed people who are in the most difficult labour market position. The company will begin its operations gradually and employ more people with impaired capacity to work as its business expands.

The Ministerial Committee on Economic Policy supports the initiative to concentrate the Finnish State’s mining industry investments into a new holding and development company. The new company will be based on Terrafame Group Ltd, which will change its name to Finnish Minerals Group.

On 10 November 2016, the Government presented legislative proposals to Parliament that aim to ensure more competitive financing for Finnish companies engaged in exporting capital goods and thus to improve their export opportunities.
