The number of unemployed jobseekers decreased by 32,400. The number of new vacancies reported in September totalled 89,400. In all, the number of unfilled vacancies amounted to 171,500, which is 1,300 more than a year ago.

The number of unemployed jobseekers decreased by 56,400. The number of new vacancies reported in June totalled 94,300. In all, the number of unfilled vacancies amounted to 189,700, which is 44,400 more than a year ago.

The employment service pilots (TE pilots) launched by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment during spring 2021 are part of the Government’s working capacity programme, which aims to improve access to and conditions of employment for persons with partial work ability or disabilities, and to coordinate services better. 

A total of 295,500 unemployed jobseekers were registered at the Employment and Economic Development Offices at the end of December. This was 62,600 fewer than a year earlier.
