The call for applications on investment aid for energy infrastructure projects under Finland’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) has been opened. Applications will be accepted until the 15th of May 2024. The aid may be granted to companies and corporations for projects, where eligible costs exceed EUR 5 million. The investment aid available for projects is approximately EUR 35 million.
Call for applications open until 29 February for REPowerEU investment aid for clean transition projects

The REPowerEU call for applications in the Sustainable Growth Programme for Finland (Recovery and Resilience Plan) has been launched. The call will close on 29 February 2024. Businesses and organisations can apply for financial support for energy investments that promote the clean transition. The call for applications includes approximately EUR 54.5 million in investment aid for projects where the eligible costs exceed EUR 5 million.
Six clean energy projects receive close to EUR 100 million in investment aid

On 4 October, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment made the first energy investment aid decisions under Finland’s Recovery and Resilience Plan to promote clean energy solutions. Aid was granted to six projects totalling EUR 99.8 million.
Finland participates in creating a European value chain for the hydrogen economy

On 15 July 2022, the European Commission approved up to EUR 5.4 billion of public support by fifteen Member States for projects to boost the production of clean hydrogen and the development of new uses of hydrogen. This public support is also expected to generate private investments of EUR 8.8 billion. Finland is one of the Member States participating in the project.
Decree on infrastructure aid helps expand recharging and refuelling network for electric, gas and hydrogen vehicles

On 17 March 2022, the Government issued a decree on infrastructure support for the use of electricity, biogas and renewable hydrogen in transport between 2022 and 2025. The aim is to promote the use of these alternative fuels in road transport by supporting investments in the charging and gas refuelling network.
