The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) will meet in Luxembourg on 12–13 June 2023. The topics of the meeting include platform work, health and safety at work, labour market dialogue, gender equality, strengthening the pharmaceutical ecosystem, combating antimicrobial resistance, mental health at workplaces, and loneliness.

EU ministers responsible for employment and social affairs will discuss the directive on adequate minimum wages as a way of combating in-work poverty. Other items on their agenda include pay transparency and gender equality in the labour market.

Pirjo Jantunen, Business Development Manager at Helen Oy, was appointed Finland’s Clean Energy Ambassador to International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) technology programme on 8 March 2021. International energy ambassadors serve as frontrunners making the energy sector more equal and as role models for women leaders of the next generation. 

One of the Government's growth policy priorities is to accelerate growth in the health sector. On 14 June 2016, the Government published the 'Health Sector Growth Strategy for Research and Innovation Activities, Roadmap for 2016-2018'.
