Take part in the Competition for the European Enterprise Promotion Awards!
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, together with the European Commission, has launched a competition to promote European entrepreneurship in 2022. You can participate in the national selection by 3 June 2022. The two best candidates from Finland will compete at the European level, where the most successful promoters of business and entrepreneurship will receive an award.
In addition to awarding the best initiatives, the competition aims to highlight the best practices for promoting entrepreneurship, raise awareness of the added value of entrepreneurship, and encourage and inspire potential entrepreneurs. The European Entrepreneurship Promotion Awards (EEPA) are awarded annually. Finland has performed well in the competition in the previous years. In 2021, the Draft Program of the Karelia University of Applied Sciences received a special mention in the competition.
The 2022 competition includes six categories:
- Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit
- Investing in entrepreneurial skills
- Improving the business environment and supporting the digital transition
- Supporting the internationalisation of business
- Supporting the sustainable transition
- Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship
Submit your application by 3 June 2022
The competition will be open to organisations, cities, regions and communities as well as public-private partnerships between public authorities and entrepreneurs, educational programmes and business organisations.
The participants must have an ongoing or recent project related to the promotion of entrepreneurship. They must also show that their project has developed and grown for at least 15 months.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will accept applications until 3 June and will send the best two to the Commission. Under the competition rules, the selected candidates must be from different categories.
Only those projects that have passed the national selection can considered for the European awards. A grand jury will select the winners, which will be announced at an award ceremony in autumn 2022.
The winner, which can be from any category, is considered the most creative and inspiring entrepreneurial initiative in Europe.
