The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has sent for comments an environmental impact assessment programme (EIA programme) concerning the continued operation of Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) Olkiluoto 1 and Olkiluoto 2 nuclear power plant units in Eurajoki. TVO submitted the EIA programme to the Ministry in January. The deadline for submitting comments is 25 March 2024.

The third application round for the RRF energy investment aid under the Sustainable Growth Programme for Finland will take place from 13th of October to 13th of November 2023. Funding is available for the electrification and decarbonisation of industrial processes (P1C2I2.)

By 26 May 2023, 24 new applications were received in the second application round for energy investment aid under Finland’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. Funding is available for energy infrastructure projects and the electrification and decarbonisation of industrial processes.
