Elina Pylkkänen appointed Permanent State Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment
Elina Pylkkänen has been appointed Permanent State Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for a term of five years starting on 1 June 2021. The Government decided on the appointment on 15 April 2021.
Raimo Luoma appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment
On 11 June 2020, the Government appointed Raimo Luoma, Master of Laws, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for a five-year term from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2025.
Riku Huttunen to continue as Director-General of the Energy Department in 2020–2024
On 21 November 2019, the Government appointed Riku Huttunen (M. Soc. Sc.) as Director-General of the Energy Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for a five-year period from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2024. Mr Huttunen will continue in the position where he started for the first time on 1.1.2015.
Nina Kopola appointed as Director General of Business Finland
Licentiate of Science in Technology Nina Kopola has been appointed as the Director General of Business Finland starting on 1 September 2019. In 2011–2018 Kopola served as President and CEO of Suominen Corporation. Before that, she held various leading positions at Dynea in 2000–2011. She has also worked at Neste Chemicals.
Decrease in unemployed jobseekers in November
A total of 229,400 unemployed jobseekers were registered at the Employment and Economic Development Offices at the end of November. This was 41,900 fewer than a year earlier. The number of unemployed jobseekers was down by 800 from the previous month. These figures are from the Employment Bulletin of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
