22.12.2023 | Fortum Power and Heat Oy lämnade den 21 december 2023 en utredning till arbets- och näringsministeriet om anskaffningen av bränsle till kraftverket i Lovisa. 16.2.2023 | Statsrådet beviljade den 16 februari 2023 Fortum Power and Heat Ab drifttillstånd enligt kärnenergilagen för kraftverksenheterna Lovisa 1 och Lovisa 2. I och med det nya drifttillståndet kan kärnkraftverksenheterna användas för energiproduktion högst till utgången av 2050.
