New strategy for Team Finland network to enhance international market access for businesses
The updated strategy for the Team Finland network provides a strong basis for Finnish businesses' exports and international growth. The strategy will guide the network’s operations to make them more effective and client-oriented in the shifting geoeconomic environment.
The new strategy for Team Finland was adopted by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio and Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto. Exports and the international growth of Finnish businesses will continue to be the network's core priority beyond strategy periods.
The work will focus on strategic choices, timely services that respond to individual needs, effective cooperation and a clear division of labour, along with knowledge-based management and active communications.
The Team Finland network is constantly developing its operations and services to respond to client needs and to the transformation of the international operating environment and the economy and to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector activities.
“To improve the effectiveness of its work, the Team Finland network needs to target its efforts at markets that have more potential for Finnish businesses. This is why the strategy defines priority countries. However, all of Finland’s missions abroad will continue their work to promote exports,” says Minister Ville Tavio.
“Despite major administrative changes in the Team Finland network, I am confident that businesses focusing on internationalisation will continue to receive seamless and efficient customer service both domestically and abroad,” says Minister Sakari Puisto.
The development of Team Finland’s operations is part of the formula for growth included in the Programme of Prime Minister Petteri Orpo’s Government.
