Minister Lindström: Sysselsättningsläget för ungdomar bättre än på flera år
Arbetsminister Jari Lindström besöker Rovaniemi den 13 februari 2018 för att delta i huvudevenemanget under Navigatorveckan för ungdomar. Han öppnar rekryteringsevenemanget för byggnads- och fastighetsbranschen och delar ut priset för årets Navigatorgärning.
– Sysselsättningsläget för ungdomar är nu generellt sett bättre än på flera år. Även om ekonomin går uppåt, måste vi också ta hand om de ungdomar som inte kommit in i arbetslivet under den långvariga ekonomiska lågkonjunkturen, påpekar minister Lindström.
– Vid Navigatorpunkterna kan unga få individuellt stöd och hitta flera olika aktörers tjänster på ett och samma ställe. Jag är glad över att vi idag har ett nätverk med så många som 50 Navigatorpunkter, konstaterar minister Lindström.
Våren 2017 beviljade regeringen ett anslag på fem miljoner euro för att etablera Navigatorverksamheten. Dessutom beslutade regeringen vid budgetmanglingen hösten 2017 öka anslaget för resultatbaserade köpta tjänster avsedda för personer under 30 år med sammanlagt 15 miljoner euro. Målet är att få totalt 10 000 ungdomar att bli omfattade av dessa tjänster.
Minister Lindström träffar under sitt besök också stadsdirektören för Rovaniemi stad. Dessutom träffar han arbets- och näringsbyråns och NTM-centralens anställda och besöker också Valtori.
