De nordiska länderna stärker sitt samarbete kring integration av invandrare
De nordiska ministrarna med ansvar för integrationsfrågor diskuterade under ledning av justitie- och arbetsminister Jari Lindström olika möjligheter att öka det nordiska samarbetet kring integration av invandrare i Köpenhamn den 25 november 2016.
– I fjol anlände ett exceptionellt stort antal asylsökande till de nordiska länderna. I dag förde vi med mina nordiska kolleger en öppen diskussion om lägesbilden och praxisen i länderna, där vi kan lära oss av varandra. Många utmaningar i samband med invandrarnas integration och sysselsättning är gemensamma för våra länder, berättar minister Lindström.
Detta inofficiella ministermöte, som ordnades på initiativ av Finland, har samband med det samarbetsprogram för integration som Nordiska Ministerrådet inledde våren 2016. Programmet syftar till att underlätta utbytet av erfarenheter och bästa praxis mellan de nordiska länderna samt till att utvidga den gemensamma kunskapsbasen i frågor som gäller integrationsfrämjande.
Finland är ordförandeland för Nordiska Ministerrådet år 2016. Det nordiska samarbetet kring integration av invandrare är en av prioriteringarna under ordförandeskapet.
