Arbetsgrupp bereder genomförandet av regionstadsprogrammet
Arbets- och näringsministeriet tillsatte den 5 februari 2020 en beredningsgrupp och tillhörande sekretariat som ska bereda genomförandet av regionstadsprogrammet.
Beredningsgruppens mandatperiod är 5.2.2020–30.6.2020, och ordförande för gruppen är CGR-revisor Olavi Ala-Nissilä. Gruppen har till uppgift att utarbeta ett genomförandeprogram för regionstadsprogrammet för 2020–2022 utifrån det regionstadsprogram som offentliggjordes 2018. Programmet innefattar åtgärder från olika sektorer. Programmet består av tre element: frivillig utveckling, avtal och partnerskap samt nätverksbildning. Det tillhandahåller verktyg för ett tätare och mer nätverksbaserat och temabaserat samarbete mellan staten, landskapen och regionerna.
Enligt regeringsprogrammet för statsminister Sanna Marins regering ska Finlands framgång byggas på regionernas och städernas starka sidor och särdrag genom samarbete mellan olika aktörer. Regionerna ska utvecklas utifrån deras starka sidor. Målet är att öka livskraften, att uppmuntra till förvaltningsövergripande verksamhet och att samla regionala resurser i syfte att främja gemensamt fastställda mål. När det gäller regionstäder är det viktigt att beakta att enskilda beslut ofta har avgörande betydelse för hela regionstadens livskraft. I enlighet med regeringsprogrammet ska beslutens samhälleliga konsekvenser utredas och beaktas på ett täckande sätt bland annat ur regionens och de så kallade lokomotivföretagens synvinkel.
